Equipment

Ready to Learn

Being fully equipped for school is an essential part of being ready to learn. Students who arrive with the correct equipment are able to engage with learning from the very start of each lesson, without disruption to themselves or others. At our academy, every minute of learning matters, and having the right equipment helps students develop the organisation, independence and responsibility that underpin academic success.

We ask all parents and carers to support us by ensuring students arrive each day with the equipment listed below.

Essential Equipment

Every student is expected to bring the following essential equipment to school each day:

  • A school bag large enough to hold an A4 folder
  • A pencil case
  • Two black or blue pens
  • Two green pens
  • One pencil
  • One ruler
  • Their locker key

If a locker key has been lost, students should report this to Main Reception as soon as possible so that a replacement can be arranged.

Students can replenish black pens, green pens, pencils and rulers free of charge each morning before line-up. It is the responsibility of each student to ensure they have these items before the start of the school day.

Additional Equipment

The following items further support learning across the curriculum:

  • One rubber (eraser)
  • One protractor
  • A scientific calculator (recommended model: Casio FX83GT ClassWiz)

Academy Expectations

Students are expected to arrive at school each day fully prepared for learning with their essential equipment. Where a student has not replenished their equipment before line-up and attends lessons without the required items, this will be addressed in line with the academy’s behaviour and expectations policy.

By working together to ensure every student is prepared each day, we maximise learning time and maintain the calm, purposeful environment that enables all students to succeed.
